Which medal is awarded to members who participated in the Global War on Terrorism operation on or after 11 September 2001 until a future date to be determined?

The Global War on Terrorism Service Medal is the one described. This medal recognizes service performed in support of the Global War on Terrorism from the date of the September 11, 2001 attacks onward, with the end date to be determined by the Department of Defense. It reflects sustained service in support of GWOT rather than a single deployment to a specific combat zone. In contrast, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal is awarded for deployment to designated theaters or operations, which is not what the question’s timeframe emphasizes. The other options either don’t correspond to an official DoD medal or refer to branch-specific variations, not the general service medal described.
